Julie Beckett came to the Dingle Peninsula to learn Irish, in 1994. Soon after she decided to move here. Julie has created her own unique style with her flower paintings and explores the fragility, delicacy, and, contradictorily, the strength of petal and leaf, pistil and stamen. Constructed in three dimensions using mixed media and finished in oil. The luminous quality of the paint enriches the vibrancy, so that they appear to become alive and grow within the frame.  Julie’s work has been purchased by private collectors in Ireland, England, Holland, Israel and America.
