Studied at Limerick School of Art, College of Art South Kensington, London. He is an honorary member of the Limerick Arts Society. Exhibited Royal Institute of oil painters, London, Royal Hibernaina Academy, Dublin and Limerick. Full time professional painter. His subject matter is the west of Ireland. He is known for his detailed, strong coloured landscapes in oil but he also works in watercolours.
