Daughter of artist Pauline Bewick, Holly and her sister Poppy grew up in an artistic atmosphere where they were encouraged to paint. She went on to study in the National College of Art & Design. for three years and then she transferred her study to Italy where she currently lives and paints. A love of nature, which she inherited from her mother is a common thread through all of her works. She uses watercolours, oils and gouache in strong, bright colours which is applied thickly to cover the full page. Holly's subject matter is flora, fruit and animals of Italy and Ireland. She likes to complete a work in one session. Holly and Poppy have exhibited widely throughout Ireland.
