A native of Warrenpoint, Co Down, Joseph Sloan is a self-taught artist specialising in sculpture and wood-engraving. His work is included in public collections in Ireland, Britain, USA, Norway and Japan. He was awarded 'Best Sculptor' at Kilkenny Arts Week 1990. Large granite memorial commissioned by the O.N.E. for the Air Corps at Baldonnell (1991).
