One of Ireland's foremost botanical artists.  Was awarded a gold medal for her work by the Royal Horticultural Society in 2000, 2001 and 2002.  Sex has designed the definitive series of An Post's 'wild flowers of Ireland' postage stamps and in 2004 published a limited edition book, 'Ireland's Wild Orchids' in partnership with Brendan Sayers, plantsman at the National Botanical Gardens.  In 2009 a very well received solo exhibition by Susan Sex was officially opened in the Frank Lewis Gallery by the late Knight of Glin, Desmond Fitzgerald.
