Native of England Michael Travers moved to Dublin in 1973. In 1978 he began to paint fulltime. 1982 he moved to Kerry. Inspired by the Kerry landscape he painted directly from it and concentrated particularly on light as a focal point for his compositions in oil. More recently his works have embraced the sensuous pantheism of natures organic patterning and refraction of light on sea and rocks, subjects which give him freedom to explore his intuitive responses and discover his own harmonies. Widely exhibited.
